Daddy.... are we there yet? - part 1

You remember when you were little and on some sort of trip. Mom and Dad would always hear the, "Are we there yet?" over and over again? Well lately, that's how I've been feeling.

For those of you who know me, this year has been putting me through the wringer. While I was overseas at school my family hit a major crisis, and we lost my baby nephew, Joshua. I hadn't planned to come home at all during the year i was gone, and unfortunately, that didn't change, even with the news. I knew I was where God wanted me, but it hurt. I had some fantastic people with me at school, but it wasn't the same as MY family. Even Dahvede was on the other side of the country. Add to that the stresses of school, and plain old homesickness, as well as being in a long-distance relationship, it was an exhausting year.

Well the day after I finished Elim, i left the most home I had at that point, and hit the road for what would be nearly two months of traveling. Sounds amazing huh? I thought so too. It has been a really fun time, but after living in a suitcase for two months and being in a constant state of moving the whole time (I was moving out of Elim and home to NZ) I feel about like a little kid asking, "Daddy, are we there yet?"
